This week’s Best Shot features a spectacular egret standing on some kelp and was captured way back in July 2007 by local photographer Bill Swartout, who snapped the shot while kayaking. “This was well out in the ocean, and I found it surprising that the kelp would support the weight of an egret,” Swartout wrote.
