Once we were running errands early at Point Dume with my grandma, and she had to use the bathroom. Unfortunately, there was no public restroom in the Point Dume Village, so we had to ignore the sign “customers only” of the only restaurant opened that early. However, they had lost their key. We also tried the grocery store, but since my grandma has a problem in her knee, she could not climb up the stairs.
Since we were heading north, we also tried the Zuma Beach Plaza, but there were no public restrooms either. Zuma Beach public bathrooms were also locked. The Trancas Plaza was rebuilding.
We finally made it to the county line area, but my grandmother was unsatisfied with the looks. So she gave up and asked us to leave.
It was a frustrating morning. It felt like that side of Malibu was not so well taken care of. We were so glad to go back home.
