Southern California Edison (SCE) will perform maintenance involving planned power outages in two areas of Malibu during the week of August 3-9, according to an alert issued by the City of Malibu.
The outages will affect the south side of Private Road, east of Serra Road beginning at 11 a.m. through 1 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4.
The south side of Selfridge Road, east of Portshead Road will be affected from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, August 5.
SCE crews will need to interrupt electric services and turn off power in order to complete the necessary maintenance.
“Upgrad[ing] aging infrastructure, mak[ing] needed improvements and complet[ing] other repairs to increase system reliability in the future” are listed by SCE as the needs for the project.
Power may be turned off for some or all of the planned period, and times are subject to change.
