Members of Our Lady of Malibu’s track team participated in the Catholic Youth Organization Semi-Finals on Sunday, where they competed against athletes from 70 other schools.
OLM entered with four qualifiers for the meet, including Jennifer Medrano in the girls “B” javelin; Erin Muldoon in the girls “B” javelin, 400 meter and 800 meter; Harry Culhane and James Merrick, both in the boys “B” javelin and shot put.
The school’s finalists, Muldoon in both the Javelin and 800, and Merrick in the shot put, were scheduled to compete in the CYO Championship meet at Serra High School May 1. Going into the competition, Muldon was seeded seventh in her events and Merrick was seeded second in his event.
