Kaitlyn Connors was awarded first prize in the high school division of The Annual Malibu Rotary Middle and High School singing competition held last Thursday at the Malibu High School auditorium. She and second place winner Ren Martinez will advance to compete in the Rotary District High School Music Competition in Los Angeles in May.

Three winners were chosen in each division of The Annual Malibu Rotary Middle and High School singing competition held last Thursday at the Malibu High School auditorium. Prizes of $250, $150, $100 were awarded to the first, second and third place finishers. Kaitlyn Connors was awarded first prize in the high school division, Ren Martinez won second and Troy Dailey, third. Jade Bate was awarded first prize in the middle school division, Hailey Hoffman won second and Olivia Thorne, third. Both Connors and Martinez were selected to compete against entrants sponsored by other Rotary Clubs in the Rotary District High School Music Competition in Los Angeles in May at the Rotary District Conference at the Westin Hotel, South Coast Plaza. Winners at this level receive $1,000 for first place, $500 for second, and $250 for third.
