Letter: PCH Prayers

Letter to the Editor

We were delighted to see the guest editorial a few weeks ago by Jane Swartout listing some simple and effective ways to make PCH safer for everyone. For several months now, our congregation has been praying specifically about safety on PCH, and we’d like to share some ideas we’ve been praying with:

•Before every journey, begin with a brief prayer – It can be as simple as, “The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth and even forevermore.” (Ps. 121:8)  Pray this daily for yourself, for your loved ones, for every traveler on PCH.

•If you do come upon or hear about an accident, know that God is already there with his angels — even before the emergency personnel – to direct, guide, protect and save.

•God is everywhere and because of this we can expect harmony.

May we all be blessed with safe travels and even more practical ideas to increase safety on PCH.
