The Juan Cabrillo Elementary School cheer team won first place at the JAMZ Cheer and Dance Holiday Classic in Long Beach on Dec. 10. This was the very first competition appearance for the Dolphins, and also the first time the individual members have participated in the sport.
The big win has qualified the young ladies for JAMZ Cheer and Dance School Nationals in Las Vegas Feb. 17.
The Dolphins are gearing up for their next performance at the AMZ Cheer and Dance Palms and Pyramid Championships in Long Beach on Jan. 8.
