Malibu High School football players took to the gridiron last week with new coach Steve Hernandez to begin training for the upcoming fall season. This year will mark a change in the Malibu tradition, with boys playing “eight-man” football instead of the usual 11-man squad.
The Sharks are preparing for the season opener, a home game against Villanova on Friday, Aug. 30, at 4 p.m.
