Are helicopter pilots flying over our coastal cities with at least the minimal clearance? I believe that they are flying at inappropriately low altitudes. Granted that helicopters provide useful services and are even in the business of saving lives, I can see why they need to fly right over our homes in emergency situations when time is of the essence.
What about the danger of an engine failure in one of these single engine helicopters when they are flying close to our homes? Apart from such a calamity, the noise of these helicopters can be very disturbing. My house and its windows shake from all the noise and vibration. The horses that live on my hillside are being terrorized on a regular basis from low flying helicopters. No doubt, it is also scary for small children.
