Malibleu Gallery held an opening reception for their new exhibition, “Wavelength,” on Saturday featuring 14 artists, including painters, photographers, sculptors, graphic artists and mixed media artists. Malibu locals and visitors enjoyed music from LA-based band, The Country Legends, who performed hits on the outdoor patio. “Wavelength” marks Malibleu’s largest exhibition to date which will be on display through Sept. 8.
Mixed media artist Barbara Kosoff greets Tom Drew, who came from Silverlake for the opening reception. Kosoff’s work, “New Beginnings” and “Angel in the Afternoon Light,” are being featured.
Painter Deb Haugen’s air brushed piece, “Pipe Master,” depicts a Malibu surfer.
“The Country Legends” performed favorites from musicians like Johnny Cash, June Carter and more.
