A stolen car was found abandoned in Decker Canyon Monday evening, the Malibu/Lost Hills Sherriff’s station confirmed.
The car was found April 1 at around 6 p.m. off the side of Decker Canyon Road. Search and rescue officials traveled down the canyon to investigate, but no one was inside the vehicle. There is currently no information available concerning where the car was stolen from or how long ago it was stolen.
According to the sheriff’s station, this is a fairly common occurrence. A few abandoned stolen cars are found each year in the local canyons.
