Crews deliver and install eight large mosaic animal sculptures to Legacy Park in October 2010. The statues feature local animals, including a coyote, burrowing owl, red-tailed hawk, red-legged frog, California mountain king snake, Western fence lizard, California newt and coast horned lizard. Designers chose to use mosaic tile for the sculptures to reflect the history of Malibu tiles. It took four months to place all the tiles on the animal sculptures.
