With just two days remaining until a much anticipated Measure R debate between Rob Reiner and Steve Soboroff, here’s an overview of details regarding the event.
1. The debate begins at 5 p.m. on Sunday at Malibu City Hall.
2. Both campaigns have run out of the 162 available tickets to the event after fielding hundreds of requests. Tickets were distributed on a first-come basis and audience members will be required to be seated for the event.
3. The debate is set to be live-streamed online at malibucity.org and broadcast locally for Verizon customers on channel 3, according to the City of Malibu.
4. LA Times columnist Steve Lopez and CBS2/KCAL9 reporter Dave Bryan are tapped as moderators.
5. The debate will be conducted “presidential” style, with 2-minute opening statements, closing statements, 90 seconds to answer each moderator question and 30 seconds of rebuttal.
