Point Dume Marine Science School prepares to host its Family Festival and Shop Local Marketplace by creating signs out of recycled signs from the recent election, donated by parents. The Parent Teacher Association at PDMSS is hosting the community fundraiser event in an effort to support the school as well as local artisans and business. The event will include carnival games, crafts, a cakewalk, music, performances and a barbecue. The Marketplace will have items for sale, including clothing, jewelry, surfboards, skateboards ponchos, ceramics, Arbonne and more.Â
The festival will take place at the PDMSS campus, 6955 Fernhill Dr., on Saturday, Nov. 14 from noon to 5 p.m. Admission is free and all are welcome.Â
