An injured hiker was rescued by helicopter in Malibu late Sunday afternoon. An emergency call was made at 4:39 p.m. when a male hiker slipped and fell down a ravine near Piuma Road and Costa del Sol Way. A helicopter crew, based out of Los Angeles County Fire Camp 8, was able to hoist the hiker to safety. He was then transported by an ambulance for treatment of a possible broken ankle.
