Singer Chris Brown was arrested in Malibu on Friday without incident, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Brown’s arrest warrant was apparently related to his 2009 conviction over the assault of singer Rihanna. He remains on probation in the case. TMZ reported Brown was thrown out of a rehabilitation facility on Friday morning after breaking “internal rules.”
He was cooperative with authorities and has been known to be staying in a rehabilitation facility for anger management in Malibu for the last several months, though it remains unclear which rehab he was staying in. The entertainer was taken to an inmate booking center in Downtown Los Angeles.
Friday’s arrest is the latest in a string of run-ins with the law for Brown. He was arrested in Washington, D.C., for assault last year. In February, the LA County DA asked a judge to jail Brown again. The judge denied the request.
