Malibu’s John Lang won first place in the William Faulkner Literary Competition for his short story, entitled “Bent Spoon.” Lang traveled to New Albany, Miss., on Sept. 28 to collect the prize in person.
In the past, Lang has served as the lyricist for ‘80s pop band Mr. Mister as well as for Celine Dion, The Pointer Sisters, Al Jarreau and Kenny Logins, to name a few.
