The AARP Foundation announced Tuesday, Feb. 19, it would be granting $1.2 million through organizations to Californians affected by last year’s wildfires.
The money will specifically go toward organizations aiding older adult victims ages 50 and up. According to the AARP Foundation, they include:
• North Valley Community Foundation
• Legal Services of NorthernCalifornia
• United Way of Northern California
• Community Action Agency of Butte County
• California Vocations, Inc.
• Chico Veterans Resource Center
• Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles
• Ventura County Community Foundation
• California Community Foundation
