This is to express very public thanks to our city’s outstanding Public Works Department for its stellar service during this last week’s series of storms.
On Sunday, I phoned for its help in clearing boulders, debris and mud from the dirt fire-access road leading to my home. Scarcely an hour-and-a-half later, a skip-loader was there doing just that. And I’m well aware that I was quite likely the least of the Public Work’s worries that morning.
Malibu should be immensely proud of their Public Works people – for such a small city with such enormous seasonal problems, its effort is second to none.
