Malibu High School sophomore Erin Edenholm has been selected to participate in this year’s Presidential Youth Inaugural Conference, a five-day program designed to educate high school-aged students about U.S. history and their roles in democracy.

Edenholm will travel to Washington D.C. to participate in inaugural activities such as roundtable discussions with national journalists, meetings with congressional staff and debates with leading political experts. She will also be honored at the Inaugural Conference as a distinguished young leader and scholar, and attend a Black Tie Gala Inaugural Ball.

“I am so excited to be a part of this monumental historical event,” Edenholm said.

Edenholm is an alumna of the National Young Leaders State Conference, and an honor student and member of the girls’ varsity water polo team and track team at Malibu High School. She plays classical piano and enjoys dirt biking, snowboarding and wakeboarding. She and her brother, Stephan, plan to volunteer at a wildlife sanctuary in southern Africa this summer.
