Nearly 6,000 spectators attended the Point Mugu Naval Base Second Annual Surf Contest over the weekend. Out of more than 200 competitors, Malibu High School senior Chase Lawson placed second in the Young Guns Division while Malibu resident Skylar Peak took first place in the Longboard Division.
