The Pepperdine women’s volleyball team came up short against the University of San Diego Toreros with a final score of 3-2 on Oct. 21. The team was able to make it to a fifth set, where the Toreros earned a 15-7 score to secure the win.
Jasmine Gross was able to execute 13 blocks, a season high for the women’s volleyball team. The team actually out-blocked their opponents by 11 blocks, according to a release from Pepperdine’s athletic department. However, the Toreros’ attack effort put them ahead.
The women’s volleyball team heads to their next match on Oct. 26 against Saint Mary’s in Moraga, Calif.
