Moomat Ahiko Way

A roadway rehabilitation project will fully close Moomat Ahiko Way in Santa Monica, beginning Monday, Sept. 15, according to a release from the Santa Monica Public Works Department.

The road, which connects Pacific Coast Highway to Ocean Avenue in Santa Monica, will undergo an annual paving and rehabilitation project. Work will completely shut down the road starting Monday, Sept. 15, through Monday, Oct. 6.

Detours have been scheduled and access to PCH will still be available through the 10 Freeway and also the California Incline, but drivers should anticipate delays in both directions. Another ongoing sewer construction project has been clogging up the area for months, and the Moomat Ahiko project will likely add to the congestion.

Sidewalk repairs are also scheduled at various locations.
