A Waterworks closure stretches from 19342 PCH (just south of Pena Road) to 19240 PCH (north of Tuna Canyon Road). Waterworks District 29 believes the water main leak may be located at 19252 PCH, marked as "A" on the map.

For the second day in a row, Los Angeles County Waterworks has closed one southbound lane of Pacific Coast Highway in east Malibu to investigate a possible water main leak. On top of that closure, a southbound stretch of the number 2 lane on PCH at Las Flores Canyon Road is also scheduled to be closed Tuesday until 3 p.m.

The waterworks closure stretches from 19342 PCH (just south of Pena Road) to 19240 PCH (north of Tuna Canyon Road). Waterworks District 29 believes the water main leak may be located at 19252 PCH. A spokesman for the department said the number 2 closure began at 9 a.m. and will last until 3 p.m.

It’s unclear whether crews have found a leak or are still investigating.

Caltrans maintenance crews are also re-paving about 240 feet of pavement in the number 2 lane of southbound PCH at Las Flores, according to spokesman Patrick Chandler. He gave the same time frame as Waterworks for the repaving project, which is about half a mile north of the Waterworks project. Traffic headed southbound at Las Flores was sluggish Tuesday morning due to the Caltrans project.Â
