The Malibu High School Varsity girls basketball team played against Carpinteria High School last Thurs., Jan. 23 at home. The team was trailing behind in a league game by 10 points. MHS was able to come back and close the gap to five points, but Carpinteria won the game 29-19. Nina Hungerland was the leading scorer with seven points. Kendall Jordan led with nine rebounds and two blocked shots.
