MHS football wins fifth straight

The Malibu High School varsity football team maintained its perfect season on Friday, defeating Flintridge Prep 20-7. The 5-0 Sharks are off to their best start in school history.

Senior fullback Jake Wisnicki stepped up for the Sharks, running in two touchdowns on the night, his first scores of the season.

Senior tailback Sean Conrad recorded the Malibu’s third touchdown of the night, his 12th of the season, and finished with nearly 150 yards rushing. Entering the game, Conrad topped the California leader board with 250.8 rushing yards per game (fourth in the nation) and ranking fourth in the state with 1,003 total yards, according to Maxpreps.com.

The Sharks begin league play this week when they face Grace Brethren (2-4) on the road Friday at Moorpark College at 7:30 p.m. The Sharks return home on Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. to face Fillmore (5-1) for their league home opener.
