Motorists can expect delays at the 21400 block of Pacific Coast Highway as construction begins for the La Costa Area Pedestrian Improvement Project. Construction will take place from 7 a.m. – 4 p.m., but lane closures will only be in effect until 3 p.m.
The work includes “layout and potholing to identify existing utilities,” according to a City of Malibu traffic advisory. A signaled crosswalk will be installed on PCH in the La Costa zone for pedestrian safety.
The lane closures are as follows:
• Wednesday, Sept. 26: No. 2 eastbound lane
• Thursday, Sept. 27: No. 2 westbound lane
• Friday, Sept. 28: No. 2 eastbound lane
