Beginning July 6, Malibu Library will begin offering sidewalk holds pickup for local residents with library cards.
From Monday, July 6, onward, holds may be picked up from Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., although the inside of the library will remain closed to the public.
The holds pickup program begins with a library member placing a hold on a book or other item through the library website. They should then call the library once they have been notified that the item is available, to schedule a time to pick up the hold.
When arriving at the library, park in a designated space and call the library (at the number posted in the parking lot). Follow staff instructions and be sure to wear a face covering.
Items should be returned to a bookdrop by the return date.
Staff will be available to answer questions by phone from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, at 310.456.6438. More information on the sidewalk service program is available at lacountylibrary.org/express-service.
Those without a library card who would like to register for a digital card can do so by visiting lacountylibrary.org/malibu-library, hovering over “Get A Library Card” and clicking “Digital Library Card.”
