The Malibu AYSO Girls U-14 Extra team won first place at the State Championships in Garden Grove on March 12. The team earned a 2-0 win over a Ladera Ranch team to advance to the semifinals.
The girls competed against a team from Thousand Oaks in the finals, winning the game 3-1.
