Malibu residents had a rude awakening in the early morning hours on Tuesday, after tremors roused sleepers from bed a little earlier than usual — 3 a.m.
An earthquake was felt along the Malibu coast Tuesday, Dec. 27. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the 3.3-shallow magnitude quake hit at 2:58 a.m., with its epicenter being just 5 miles off the west-southwest coast.
No injuries or property damage were reported.
