In its West Coast Conference opener game, the Pepperdine women’s basketball team managed to make a comeback, resulting in a 56-55 game against Santa Clara on Thursday, Dec. 28.
At the final moment, the Santa Clara Broncos’ last attempt at making a shot failed.
The game leaves Pepperdine at a win-loss record of 5-6 overall but 1-0 for WCC games.
Wave Yasmine Robinson-Bacote made a splash with 13 points and 14 rebounds throughout the close game.
Good luck followed the team to its following game against San Diego, which resulted in a 66-62 win. Pepperdine continues its WCC play with an away game versus Gonzaga on Thursday, Jan. 4, at 6 p.m.
