Mildred Robertson Joy died on Dec. 23 at the age of 94.
Robertson was born in South Bend, Ind. on Jan. 28, 1909. She was an artist who volunteered many years for various children’s organizations. Robertson was awarded many times for helping the less fortunate. Robertson continued living life to its fullest late into her life. She drove a little red sports car until she was 92. She said she was proud of having never received a traffic ticket or gotten into an accident in her 76 years of driving. She celebrated her 90th birthday by going to Disneyland in the pouring rain, going on every ride.
Robertson is survived by her son, Richard Robertson, daughter-in-law DeAnne Joy, grandchildren Natalie Joy Siman and Rick Van Joy, and great-grandchildren Spencer Andrew Joy, Van Gardner Joy, Austin Joy Siman, Mari DeAnne Siman and Scotty O’Connell Siman.
