Lola Stanley, Kai Leff and Zoe Kofsky learn about how people washed clothing during pioneer times.

Webster Elementary School fourth grade students experienced what pioneer life was like in California more 150 years ago during a field trip to the Stagecoach Inn Museum in Newbury Park last Wednesday. The students spent the day doing chores such as baking biscuits, washing clothes, gathering firewood and attending school in a one-room school house. Once all the chores and school work were finished, they played games, sang, danced and panned for gold.Â
