In response to Michel Shane’s guest column in The Malibu Times on June 12, 2014:
There is more wisdom and good advice entailed in your open letter to the Malibu High School class of 2014 than I have heard or read … in my 30 years of listening to commencement addresses while being a professor of finance at UCLA and USC.
At 76 years old and the father of a 12-year-old daughter enrolled at Malibu Middle School, I so very, very much agree with your comments about your entreaty to use time wisely and not to just wait for the “right moment.”
Data is not information, information is not knowledge and knowledge is not wisdom. However, your guest column in The Malibu Times embodies wisdom.
Thank you for writing it and sharing it with the class of 2014 and all of the readers of The Malibu Times.
