Former Malibu resident Anthony Barton recently competed in the 2010 World Championships for the Kona Iron Man. He grew up and lived in Malibu for 18 years and now lives in Calabasas. Barton was invited to compete in the race as the only one who qualified from the Los Angeles area in 40-44 age group. With a time of 10 hours, 3 minutes, Barton placed 86th in his age group and 389th overall of the 1,9000 competitors.
