The debate concerning the lagoon restoration project has been clouded by misinformation. The City Council appropriately dedicated $25,000 for an evaluation of the science behind the project so that facts could be separated from myths. Certain Council people are obstructing that evaluation because they do not want the facts to become public knowledge. In my opinion, it is misguided for the City Council to take a stand for or against the lagoon project before the facts are clearly presented.
