Visitors from all around the United States—Chicago, Massachusetts, New York and Texas—had a break from the cold days of winter and enjoyed Malibu’s winter wonderland: Zuma Beach. With record-breaking warm weather in Southern California the day after Christmas, the beach was the place to be! There were plenty of activities to choose from: volleyball, biking, boogie boarding, swimming, surfing, sand dunes for sledding, building sand castles or simply soaking up the warm rays. Malibu beaches were packed.
While other parts of the country experienced storms and flooding, Malibu and the rest of LA saw soaring temperatures and ideal beach weather last week. Above, Caden Grethel goes sledding down a sand dune at Zuma Beach.
Visiting from Austin, Texas, Erich Grethel gives son, C.J., a ride down the slopes during a day at the beach with his family.
