Human skeletal remains were discovered in the Tapia Park area of Malibu Creek State Park, an official from the Los Angeles County Department of Coroner confirmed to The Malibu Times. Ed Winter, Assistant Chief of the coroner’s office, said it was not known as of Monday whether the remains were male or female. Traffic along Las Virgines Road was slowed for hours Monday morning near Tapia Park. Police dogs were spotted at the scene while helicopters flew overhead.
