Sheriff’s report no suspicious findings after Malibu High bomb threat

[Update, 4:45 p.m.] Los Angeles County Sheriff’s combed through Malibu High School and found no suspicious activity or devices after the school reported a bomb threat Wednesday afternoon.

Sgt. Braden of the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s station said a student had approached Principal Jerry Block and told him there was a bomb on campus that was set to go off. Block then called sheriff’s to the scene and evacuated the campus. 

A statement from the school said students were dismissed at their regular time and after-school sports practices were going on as normal. 

[Original post:] Malibu High School has been evacuated after receiving a bomb threat Wednesday afternoon. Malibu High Principal Jerry Block called the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday to say he was evacuating the school based on a bomb threat, and sheriff’s deputies are on the scene now, according to Sgt.
