It is time for the fall harvest at Point Dume Marine Science Elementary School. Students are harvesting organic lettuce for the school salad bar. The school’s vegetable gardens, created by students, parents and teachers, have become an important part of the hands-on science curriculum at PDMSS. In fall and winter, students harvest fresh greens twice a week, and the organic lettuce has been served daily in the salad bar for lunch.
