Julia Townsend, a freshman at Concordia University and a native of Malibu, earned All-America honors on March 2 when she placed seventh in the 3,000 Meter Race Walk at the 2012 NAIA College Indoor Track & Field Championships in Geneva, Ohio.
Townsend attended Louisville High School, where she was three-time USATF Youth All-American in the race walk. She also attended Our Lady of Malibu School and Webster Elementary.
