Earlier this week, Hollywood legend Angelyne’s real identity was revealed by The Hollywood Reporter’s Gary Baum. The 66-year-old, previously known as Renee Goldberg, is famous for her iconic hot pink billboards featuring herself, a loopy signature and a phone number. She is also known for driving around the Los Angeles area in her hot pink Corvette. Known as the precursor to the likes of Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian, Angelyne also made her bid for California governor in the 2003 gubernatorial recall with an unsurprising campaign slogan: “We’ve had Gray, we’ve had Brown, now it’s time for some blonde and pink.” She has since denounced the article and plans to write an autobiography, according to an interview with LA Weekly.
