Ahead of the upcoming election, The Malibu Times and Santa Monica Daily Press invite the community to attend a Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District School Board candidate forum on Wednesday, Oct. 10, at Point Dume Marine Science School from 6-8 p.m.
The event is also co-sponsored by Advocates for Malibu Public Schools (AMPS). Students from Malibu High and Santa Monica High will be assisting with the event.
The five candidates are running for four seats: newcomer Ann Maggio Thanawalla and incumbents Oscar de la Torre, Craig Foster, Laurie Lieberman and Richard Tahvildaran-Jesswein.
