Four separate Fourth of July fireworks displays will light up the sky across Malibu for Independence Day, according to a report released by the City of Malibu.
The City has issued permits for four displays of fireworks to take place the evening of Saturday, July 4, from one end of Malibu to the other.
Displays in the waters off Malibu Colony Road, Broad Beach Road, Paradise Cove and Eastern Malibu launch fireworks offshore beginning around 9 p.m.Â
While fireworks are often cause for celebration, they have been known to frighten pets. Last summer, multiple reports of frightened or spooked pets set off a debate in Malibu over when and where fireworks displays are appropriate. Pet owners are cautioned to be aware and even take preventative measures if possible.
