Malibu High School senior water polo player Erika Wooler scored four goals in the Sharks’ two playoff victories against Tustin and Palm Springs last week.
Wooler has been playing water polo for two years. She started playing after getting injured while playing soccer and then came to enjoy the sport. Wooler enjoys swimming and getting fit while playing water polo, and says the most challenging aspect of the sport is the fact that you get almost no rest and you’re always doing something. Wooler said the team’s mentality has changed to more of a collaborative effort and not relying on one person.
Besides water polo, she enjoys hanging out with her friends. Her favorite movie is “Little Rascals.”
