Someone named Alan Pine wrote The Malibu Times last week, calling President Obama “a leftist president with no practical experience” and complaining about “the dismantling of Gitmo and other much needed high security prisons.” He predicts that the Obama Administration “will be a complete and utter disaster for America and its allies, which will take possibly decades to fully comprehend.”
Who is this guy? I googled him, and the public record shows that he is a general contractor who does indeed live in Malibu, and he donated $351 to the McCain for President campaign in 2008. Big surprise.
Let’s imagine that John McCain was the one sworn in on January 20. He admittedly knows nothing about the economy, and his VP choice knows even less. McCain’s quick fix for the economy (which his party’s deregulation policies over the past decade or so caused to tank) is “more tax cuts for the rich.” John McCain, meet Herbert Hoover.
