With love and respect and appreciation for all good intentions… whoever decided it was a good idea to place a day-Glo orange kiddie slide in Bluffs Park positioned directly in front of one of the world’s most exceptional natural views… I love kids, dogs and visitors, but please-do we have to build a structure on every square foot of public land to prove we’re a city?
My seven-year old has used the orange slide, and he has used the other slides in Bluffs Park which don’t block anyone’s view. He agrees that he could still use the orange slide if it were repositioned in an area not blocking everyone’s perfect view of the Pacific. He’s just that magnanimous. And sensible.
