I started screaming about poison at the school when it first came to light several years ago. Next time the crew shows up to poison our land, our kids, our pets and our wildlife, let’s get together and lie down on the dirt to block their passage. The Malibu City Council and the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District should be ashamed that this happens on their watch.
Now they want to do trapping. Trapping is cruel and painful and should be banned as well. You cannot get rid of gophers. They are harmless creatures. Watch the movie “Caddyshack,” which shows you can never get rid of them. And to say we were “screaming and complaining” is totally disrespectful. Acting Director Upton should be terminated using bait boxes and traps.
