Lanny LaMar Ross died Oct. 7. The cause of death was unknown.

Born March 11, 1947, Ross, in later years, referring to himself as “Lil Lanny Ross from P.B.,” was an accomplished builder, poet, photographer, patron and supporter of the arts, collector of relics, truth seeker, avid self-educator, compassionate, gentle soul. He was proud of his roots, his family and was one of the few who genuinely loved life and saw beauty in the smallest of things.

Helen Anderson, Ross’ soul mate of 30 years, sons Jeff Ross of Boston, Ma., and Shawn Harrison (Heather) of San Diego, Ca.; daughters Kelley Ross of La Jolla, Ca., and Christina Gyurkovitz (Jason) of Oceanside, Ca.; grandchildren Arriana, Coartney, Jakob, Gabriel, Coco, Zackary, Mason, Lillian & Timothy, and his two brothers, beloved sister, numerous nieces, nephews and many beautiful family members and friends survive Ross.

A celebration of his life will take place Oct. 17, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., 116 Carlisle Rd., Thousand Oaks, Ca. 91361
