T he city of Malibu hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony March 21 for the 1,350 lb. bronze Surfer Statue in Legacy Park, which is in dedication to Surfrider Beach. Surfrider beach became the first World Surfing Reserve last year. The ceremony for the Surfer statue took place at noon and many local residents came out to watch.
